This race is more than just miles on the road; it’s about coming together as a community to support the kids and families at UNC Children’s Hospital. Every registration, every step, and every cheer goes toward lifting the financial and emotional burdens families face while their child is in the hospital. From helping with meals to covering travel costs, your participation makes a real difference. Whether you are a seasoned runner or just want to enjoy a morning with friends, family, and fellow Tar Heels, KFTK is a chance to do something fun while giving back.

We fund what medical insurance cannot cover for patients and their families at UNC Children's Hospital. We believe that our community can make a difference by helping remove the burdens associated with hospitalization, such as travel expenses, food and electricity for medical equipment.
