What is the UNC Dance Marathon?
Historically, UNC Dance Marathon has been a 24-hour no-sitting, no-sleeping event held in the spring on UNC Chapel Hill's campus each year. This year, we are switching it up and hosting a 12-hour marathon! Our goal with this change is to make the event easier for students to attend and raise money for the cause. Each year, hundreds of students pledge to remain on their feet for the entirety of marathon to show their support for our cause and support the patients and families of UNC Children's Hospital. Throughout the event we have multiple performances, activities and food to keep participants entertained and energized. The UNC Dance Marathon is our largest event with the most student involvement out of any other event throughout the year.
