The Carolina For The Kids family’s 20th Anniversary is off to a great start! Carolina For The Kids Committee Recruitment Week took place through the week of September 11-15. Monday through Friday, chairs and subchairs could be found at The Pit, waving posters and handing out flyers to recruit new members.
After a record number of students were recruited, committees were announced on September 17. Members both new and old are excited for the start of the year. Carolina For The Kids is the largest student-run nonprofit in North Carolina, and recruits for 14 different committees. The organization receives a wide range of applicants, all with different reasons for wanting to contribute to the cause.
English Watson is a first-year, and new member of the Technology Committee.
“Carolina For The Kids has had such a great impact on the lives of all involved, I am excited to be a part of the organization and continue the work," Watson said.
On her inspiration to join, Watson said, "My sister did the dance marathon all four years she was here and said it was the most fulfilling thing she did while on campus!”
Committee chairs, such Hospital & Family Relations Chair Hayley Nusser, are excited as well.
