Ever since I joined Carolina for the Kids in the fall, I have been anticipating running in Kilometers for the Kids. I am by no means a runner, but knew that the event would be a fun day simply because it revolves around CFTK. I recruited a few of my friends to join me in the race and we picked out a group costume for the Fun Run.
The day finally came for the race and we were so excited! When my friends and I got to the Old Well, we found a free (and very yummy!) breakfast awaiting us provided by our sponsors. The Carolina cheer team was also there to help lead a pre-run stretch and cheered us all on as we finished the race.
My friends and I loved the Fun Run! We were cheered on by enthusiastic committee volunteers and there were fun games midway where you could play to win candy. As soon as we crossed the finish line, my friends and I started talking about how we needed to participate in KFTK again next year because of how much we enjoyed it - a thought that I’m sure was shared by many.
