Anyone who has ever been to the Pediatric playroom can agree that it is not only a fun atmosphere but a humbling experience as well. The parents and the kids cherish their time in the playroom. Seeing the adorable smiles on each of the kids faces is guaranteed to make your day, as well as theirs.
The mission of the Carolina For The Kids Foundation is to provide major emotional, medical, and financial support for the patients and families served by UNC Children’s Hospital. The Pediatric Playroom is a way that we cater to the emotional needs of these sweet children.
Committee members and dancers volunteer in the Pediatric Playroom. We do activities with the kids including face painting, reading, arts and crafts, sports like bowling corn hole and basketball and playing games on the Wii.

Carolina For The Kids has become a fundamental part of the UNC Children’s network, raising more than $5.4 million in 20 years and increasing volunteer presence in the hospital in each of these years. Without the For The Kids Fund and our awesome donors, keeping up the maintenance of the Pediatric Playroom, as well as all the other activities we do, would not be near as effective. So if you like toys, playtime and kids then be sure to show the FTK fund some love, for the kids!
