2024 Dance Marathon Fundraising Opportunities
If you're having trouble reaching your $150 fundraising goal, or just want to go above and beyond your goal, check out the tips and opportunities on this page to help! Also, you can check out this blog post to see a personal story about a dancer who has already achieved her fundraising goal and how she was able to accomplish it! Don't hesitate to put yourself out there and network, For The Kids!
Opportunities on Campus
- Canning: While canning, dancers will go to the surrounding Chapel Hill community with a can, poster and route of designated houses. Once in the community dancers will follow their route and go from home to home asking for any form of contribution. Any money donated during the dancer cannings will be split evenly among the participating dancers and added to their dancer totals. These dancer cannings will take place on select Sundays in March. View the calendar for specific dates of dancer cannings.
- Basketball ticket taking: You will check in 2 hours before tip-off! Attire (khaki pants, white polo, appropriate closed-toed shoes). Must sign in and sign out; cannot sign in or out for others!!! $25/per person ($12.50 if worker does not sign out). Once you are in you are in! you can stay for the rest of the game! Check back soon for dates and a link to sign up!
- Basketball Clean-ups: Check-in will start and hour and 15 minutes after the game until the end of the game. $12.50/person/hour. YOU DO NOT GET THE MONEY IF YOU DO NOT SIGN OUT. Attire: be nice and comfy!
- Swim Timings: Attire- Carolina Blue t-shirt/polo and khaki pants/shorts. Check-In is open from one hour until 45 minutes prior to the meet (please make sure to arrive within this 15 minute window) Food will be provided for each shift! All expectations are covered in the timers meeting with the officials approximately 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the meet.

They can be used for phone calls, emails, texts, and social media posts -- even handwritten letters can be very effective in asking for a donation!

Don't be afraid to reach out to friends and family to share information about CFTK! Feel free to ask your friends, family members, coworkers, neighbors, roommates, family friends, classmates, middle and high school friends, parents’ coworkers, etc. for donations -- any amount can help! Post your dancer page on social media platforms along with your message about CFTK, and have your family help you with spreading the word. Remember you can find your dancer page at uncdm2020.funraise.org.
Letter Push
If you want some help receiving donations from friends and family -- fill out the letter push form sent to you by your committee chair, dancer captain, or the Events Coordinator! We will send out the information about how to donate on your behalf and you can simply watch the donations begin to come in! Letter Push takes place every Fall and Spring.
